During this visit you will discover part of the production of the Boizel House. You will visit "le Cellier" with its oak barrels, "la Cuverie" with its impressive stainless-steel vats, our historical cellars, listed as Unesco World Heritage and the family "Trésor".
Then, you will taste two of our most prestigious vintage Champagnes: the Joyau 2012 and the Joyau Rosé 2012.

Further information
During this experience, you will discover the Maison Boizel as well as the different stages of the Champagne making process, starting with the visit of the Cellier with its oak barrels and the impressive Cuverie with its huge stainless steel vats.
It continues then with the visit of our historical cellars, listed as UNESCO World Heritage, where the Boizel family treasure hides, holding bottles dating from the founding of the Maison in 1834.
Finally you will taste two emblematic cuvées and dear to the Boizel family: the Joyau de France 2004 and the Joyau de France Rosé 2007.
The Joyau de France was created in 1961 by René Boizel, 4th generation of the family. His desire from the start was to illustrate through these great champagnes the beauty of exceptional harvests but also the know-how and values of the House, always at the research for excellence.

Nous n’aurions pas pu rêver mieux : la visite a été extrêmement agréable, instructive, chaleureuse et conviviale, en petit comité. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le fait qu’après la dégustation, il n’y ait pas eu de démarche commerciale insistante. Nous recommanderions cette visite sans la moindre hésitation. C’était vraiment formidable et organisé de manière très personnelle. Encore un très grand merci.

Un grand merci à notre guide, qui a été absolument remarquable. Passionné(e), très clair(e) dans ses explications et toujours disponible pour répondre à nos questions, il/elle a rendu la visite encore plus enrichissante et agréable. We didn’t know what to expect showing up to a tour at 10 o’clock in the morning, but our guide Thayane blew us away! We had en experienced, lovely guide, the cellars were charming. I loved to visit a smaller brand, it felt much more personal than the bigger houses. The taste of the Joyau champagnes was exquisite. Can honestly recommend.

Booking was easy, with lots of different options for the tour and the tasting. A knowledgable and approachable tour guide, who was happy to answer questions. Access to the stills and cellar was welcomed, although a lot of the other areas where production takes place are off site.
Was impressed by the accessibility of the tour. There were a few visitors with disabilities and they were able to be very much part of the tour along with the other visitors.
It was interesting to see a smaller producer, compared with the larger houses and it was lovely to hear of the continued involvement of the family.
There is only one thing negative to note and that would be the non-alcoholic juice. Whilst, we appreciated having the option, the peach juice was not particularly pleasant!
Overall, I would definitely recommend the visit.

Stunning building and history. The tour was really informative but not too overwhelming. The building and tasting rooms are gorgeous and all the staff we encountered were super friendly and welcoming, especially the guide. There are so many options in Epernay but def recommend this one for our tours and tastings!

We booked Boizel as we’d tried it a few times in the UK and wanted to go on a smaller less commercialised tour. Tour guide fantastic and very knowledgeable, forget the large houses, go and see a smaller house and wander through their smaller cellars and taste their outstanding champagne.

Very knowledgeable guide - Different from the usual and very interesting to see some of the champagne making process live.
Once again, however, as in other houses, we are not given anything to eat and it is difficult to drink two glasses of champagne without a something to eat!
Booking online is very easy.
I would suggest offering tours without tastings, pheraps offering a half bottle of champagne, especially for those who have to drive with friends.
Overall a highly recommended visit!

This tour and tasting was marginal at best. We have done extensive wine tasting and tours around the world, but do not have high standards by any means. Caves were impressive but English-speaking guide spoke too quickly and was difficult to understand. Had we not done a more comprehensive tour in the morning at another place, I would not have learned a thing. Were given two glasses of champagne at the end of the tour with no explanation of what we are tasting. Our guide left and said we could enjoy our champagne on the patio if we preferred. The tour and tasting were presented as being 2 hrs long but ended after only 1 hr. Definitely not worth the money.

We had a fantastic tour and tasting at Boizel. Would highly recommend as one of the smaller producers on the Avenue compared to a Moet etc. Fascinating to hear about the experimentation that the family explores, always looking forward but while retaining the overarching principles and values of the house. Would highly recommend for the complete experience. It’s also a lovely house on the Avenue to stop for a glass of champagne.

Nous étions avec des personnes trés bruyantes (un groupe de 5 et 2 personnes d'origine belge) et ceci a quelque peu gaché notre dégustation alors que les champagnes etaient fabuleux.
Je pense qu'il faut demander à ce que les gens soient respectueux et calmes pour profiter pleinement de ce moment.

We particularly enjoyed this visit. As a champagne house still owned by the family this visit felt less industrial and more authentic than others. The guide was very good, he knew and shared lots and took plenty of questions. The choice of tastings worked well, the difference between the champagnes we tasted was well explained we had lots of time to enjoy the two glasses.

Our visit was absolutely wonderful! Our guide was knowledgeable, fun, and genuinely interested in our opinions and perceptions of the champagnes! We had people who were experienced like us, as well as those who were experiencing champagnes for the first time, and everyone was made to feel valued and welcomed. We loved the champagnes, and were glad we upgraded our experience. Boizel is a beautiful champagne house, with a rich history! We would definitely put it in the “not to be missed” category! Enjoy! Our tasting with Champagne Boizel was wonderful. Our guide was very informative, and the tour was comprehensive where we learned about the champagne making process, the difference between vintage & non-vintage, the area, how many champagne houses there are, etc. Plus the two taste of Joyau that we had we thoroughly enjoyed.

La visite prévue pendant 1h30 ne dure en fait que 50 minutes environ, le reste du temps étant consacré à la dégustation. Quant au prix (60 euros pour l'offre JOYAU), il est à mes yeux en décalage avec ce que l'on attend d'une telle expérience, d'autant plus que vous n'avez même pas eu la délicatesse d'offrir quelque chose à grignoter pour accompagner vos cuvées ! Dommage, car une Maison telle que la vôtre se doit de soigner son image, d'être à la hauteur de sa réputation, que ce soit à l'égard d'une clientèle curieuse de découvrir votre gamme de produits qu'envers les membres amis qui se déplacent jusqu'à Épernay dans l'espoir de vivre un moment suspendu !

Bubbles and Caves! our tour at Boizel Champagne house was great. Very informative and brilliant for young teenagers as well. our tour guide was wonderful, very happy to answer any and all questions. Lovely champagne tasting for adults and the teenagers enjoyed their chardonay grape juice. I would recommend booking early, and bring a strong carrier bag with you in case of large purchases of the champagne.

This was an adequate tour with a guide that had an adequate understanding of the subject matter. I travel widely and felt that I did not learn anything i did not already know. The tour was quite basic and followed by a limited tasting with no discussion on the wine. it felt very much as if these tours were an obligation not something used to really showcase the product. I would recommend it as worthwhile but not the best in Epernay

The champagnes we tasted at Boizel were exquisite and the cellars were beautiful and interesting to see. However, I found that the tour itself felt a little sterile and less engaging than other tours I experienced in Epernay. The room that the tasting was held in also felt a little too formal and rigid as compared to some of the other champagne houses.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Boizel was the only tour we could get into last minute but I’m so glad we did. Kids got a bit bored but we’re very happy there was a colouring table at the tasting. Would have LOVED a little juice tasting or something to occupy them further. Overall fun time, delicious champagne but a bit expensive

For what seemed to be a smaller house, Boizel did a fantastic job with their cellar tours and tastings. The 2007 rose vintage was one of the best we tried in Champagne. It was all around an amazing experience!

Perfect way to spend an afternoon. The guide was welcoming and engaging. The history of the house is fascinating and it was lovely to wonder through the caves.
The tasting was excellent and in a beautiful setting. So much choice, couldn’t help but continue to try all that was on offer before settling on a few cases to keep us going for a while!

Je recommanderais sans hésiter cette visite même si on connaît déjà la fabrication du champagne, on en apprend toujours plus. La guide était à notre écoute, très professionnelle et la dégustation valait la peine. Vous pouvez arriver plus tôt et déguster un verre avant la visite car il y a une belle terrasse dehors et le parking est gratuit.

Our tour earlier this week was fantastic. Such a great family Champagne House. The tour was in English and our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about the process from start to finish. We had our kids with us and they were engaged with us. During the our tasting the kids were given their own artesian juice and activity to keep them busy. The facility is lovely and our tour of the caves was truly memorable. Such great history was explained as well! I would highly recommend this Champagne House and their tour.

J’exprime gentiment ma surprise et ma déception à l’accompagnatrice et demande à goûter le « standard » de la maison (très bien pour le coup). On trouve normal de me faire payer 9.- euros supplémentaires (en plus des 100.- déjà versés - on était 2)…

Bonjour Antoine, Merci beaucoup pour votre visite et pour ce commentaire. Nous sommes navrés du fait que vous n’ayez pas aimé les Joyaux de France. Ils vieillissent 12 ans (minimum) sur lies, nous trouvons donc des arômes très évolués, très peu de bulles et très fines. C’est vrai que ce ne sont pas des Champagnes « classiques » mais plutôt des « vins gastronomiques » auxquels nous sommes moins habitués. Tant qu’à nos tarifs, ils sont attribués à la prestation au complet qui dure environ 1h30 : la visite guidée de notre site de production avec toutes les explications sur l’élaboration du Champagne et l’histoire de la Maison, et également la dégustation de 2 Champagnes (la visite à 50€ étant avec deux de nos Champagnes les plus prestigieux à 105€ la bouteille). En espérant vous accueillir à nouveau à l’Atelier 1834 et vous faire vivre une expérience 100% positive, nous vous souhaitons une excellente journée. L'équipe Boizel

Guide très agréable et expérimentée qui fournit de bonnes explications et qui répond aux questions.

We really enjoyed the tour of the cellars. We saw very old champagne editions. The guide was wonderful and shared a lot of information. The tasting was also great, this champagne is top notch! We ended up ordering a small shipment. The prices are better than in the US. thank you for the wonderful experience!

What a great experience, especially the caves are just special and I loved the library of the owners.
We would much recommend the tour but also the champagnes. Be warned, we liked them enough to ship a case!

Nous avons passé un moment fort agréable lors de notre visite chez Boizel. Le cadre est superbe, l'ambiance feutrée, la visite très instructive et la dégustation fut l'apothéose de cette visite. My husband, my son and myself visited Boizel on 23/04 and we loved all about it.
A special mention goes to our guide, Irene, who was kind, precise and very professional in guiding us through the visit and the tasting.
We visited other cellars before, but we have to say that Boizel catched us for its attention to the details.
The tasting room was very well prepared, we appreciated their setting and the white tablecloth.
No need to say that their champagne is excellent. :-)

The tour was perfect! Great information, great tour guide and not too long or too short. This was one of three tours we did and was our favorite. The tasting afterward was great! Not rushed at all despite the group only having us and another couple. The building and facilities were immaculate and the champagne was delicious! We definitely took home more than we had planned but we’re very happy with our purchase! Don’t miss this tour, and if you don’t have time for the tour at least do a tasting or visit the shop. You won’t be disappointed!
